3. Where are you based and do you work with clients outside Hampshire?
We’re located in the heart of the New Forest, Hampshire, but we work with clients throughout the UK and beyond. Our team partners with both local businesses and national organisations, delivering the same level of service regardless of where you’re based. Thanks to online collaboration tools, distance is no barrier.
4. Which industries do you work with?
Because design principles apply to every sector, we’ve worked with start‑ups, charities, technology firms, hospitality brands and established household names. Whether you’re launching a restaurant, running an e‑commerce platform or developing a new app, we can tailor our approach to suit your industry and audience.
5. How much does a website design project cost?
The cost of a website depends on factors such as the platform, complexity, number of pages, content structure and required features. Industry guides suggest that a simple informational site designed by a mid‑size agency might cost between £4 000–£16 000, while complex sites with custom integrations or e‑commerce capabilities can exceed £40 000. Ongoing maintenance, hosting and updates should also be considered. We’ll discuss your requirements and provide a bespoke quote.
6. How long will it take to design and build my website?
Timelines vary with the size and complexity of the project. A typical design and development process takes 4–12 weeks. The number of pages, level of customisation, third‑party integrations and feedback rounds all influence the schedule. We’ll agree milestones with you at the start and keep you updated throughout.
7. Do you build custom sites or use templates?
We favour custom websites because they provide unique design, tailored functionality and better long‑term value. Templates are quicker and more affordable but limit design flexibility and scalability. A custom build gives you greater control over branding, user experience and performance. We’ll help you decide the best approach for your goals and budget.
8. Can you redesign my existing website?
Absolutely. If your current site looks tired or has outgrown its structure, we can redesign and modernise it into a responsive, up‑to‑date site you can be proud of. We often redesign websites during rebrands, product launches or when clients need improved functionality and user experience.
9. Will redesigning my site harm my search‑engine rankings?
A properly planned redesign should preserve – and may improve – your SEO. Key factors include maintaining the URL structure, using proper redirects and keeping valuable metadata and backlinks. We perform SEO audits before and after the redesign to identify and correct issues, ensuring your site continues to rank well.
10. Can you help with domain names and hosting?
Yes. Choosing the right domain name is crucial for your online presence. We can help you register a name that fits your business needs and link it to your website. If you need to migrate to new hosting, our team identifies suitable hosting and handles the migration for you, providing a turnkey solution.
11. Do you offer search‑engine optimisation (SEO)?
We offer SEO guidance for all our web projects. Many people think SEO is a “black art,” but we can demystify it and teach you practical tips. We focus on improving your organic search rankings and boosting the visibility of your business, whether through on‑page optimisation, keyword research or guidance on content strategy.
12. What support and maintenance do you provide after launch?
Our relationship doesn’t end when your site goes live. We offer maintenance and repair services to keep your website working perfectly. If technical issues arise, our support team investigates and resolves them, and if we can’t, we know someone who can. We also provide scheduled backups, securely storing copies of your site off‑site and restoring them quickly if needed.
13. How do you keep my website secure?
Cyber‑security is a priority. It’s estimated that around 30 000 websites are hacked every day, with a cyber‑attack occurring every 39 seconds. We help secure your site through hardening measures, regular updates and monitoring. We can also send you weekly vulnerability reports so you can rest easy, knowing your online assets are protected.
14. What’s your process for creating a brand identity or logo?
Our process is collaborative and transparent. We start with a discovery phase to learn about your brand, goals and target audience. We then develop initial concepts and present them for your feedback. Together we refine the chosen concept until it captures your brand’s essence. Throughout, you’re an active partner whose insights guide the design.
15. How many revisions do I get, and how should I provide feedback?
We typically include two to three revision rounds, ensuring you’re completely satisfied. Feedback is most effective when it’s clear and specific. Early collaboration helps us understand your vision and reduces the need for major changes later.
16. Who owns the copyright to the final designs?
Upon final payment, full copyright and intellectual‑property rights to the approved designs are transferred to you. We reserve the right to showcase the work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed. This ensures you have complete control over your branding and marketing assets.
17. How do you deliver final files for print and web?
We supply files optimised for their intended use. Print‑ready assets are provided in CMYK colour mode at a minimum of 300 DPI, with the necessary bleed and crop marks. Web files are supplied in RGB mode at lower resolution (around 72 DPI) and in appropriate formats such as PNG or JPEG for fast loading.
18. What happens if the project scope changes or runs over schedule?
We aim to meet the timelines and budgets outlined in our proposal. If circumstances change – such as new deliverables, additional features or a significant change of direction – we’ll pause the project, provide a revised quote and timeline, and wait for your approval before proceeding. Transparent communication means there are no surprises.
19. How will we communicate during the project?
Clear communication is vital. We arrange a detailed kick‑off meeting to discuss your vision and requirements, then provide updates at each key milestone. For larger projects we schedule regular check‑ins (weekly or bi‑weekly), typically via email to maintain a record of discussions. We’re flexible and can adapt the communication frequency to suit your needs.
20. Do you work remotely with clients who aren’t local?
Yes. While we’re based in Hampshire, many of our clients are elsewhere in the UK or abroad. Online collaboration tools and regular communication mean we can work together effectively regardless of location. Our experience serving local and national clients ensures that distance doesn’t affect the quality of our work.
